Hello! My name is Jake Timchak and I am a current industrial design student at the University of Cincinnati. Growing up in New Jersey, I’ve always had a love for spending time with friends and family, playing all the sports, and of course, Italian food. However the one thing I’ve always had (and still have) is a dying love and passion for anything that has to do with automobiles. Since preschool I’ve had a deep fascination with cars, trucks, motorcycles, and more. Essentially if it had wheels, I was interested. As I grew up, this passion evolved into a clear aspiration: to one day become a car designer. However, as I progressed through school and began sketching more intentionally, my perspective on design expanded. From cars to flashlights, fragrance bottles to birdhouses, I discovered that the world of design knows no bounds. Each project became a new opportunity to solve problems creatively and bring ideas to life. Today, I’m driven not just by a love for design itself, but by its power to shape meaningful experiences and contribute to a better world.
